A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced service manager to lead on the implementation and development of a brand new service providing a safe, welcoming and compassionate place for people who are experiencing mental health distress.
Based in Southwark, the Southwark Crisis Cafe will offer a variety of support options dependent on people’s needs. For some, it will be a place of quiet respite, for others an opportunity to meet like-minded people and share lived experience. It will provide an opportunity to develop coping techniques, and link people in with other services in their local community.
Delivered by Together for Mental Wellbeing, one of the UK’s oldest and most respected charities, the service will be open between 5pm and 11pm every day of the week, including Bank Holidays and 1pm – 11pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting and imaginative individual with great leadership and collaboration skills. Someone with a can-do attitude and the motivation to change and enhance the service during this exciting period. This is a key role for the service, leading on the development of the service, ensuring the service reaches a diverse range of people and delivers safe and high quality support at all times.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex information in an easily understood manner, working with clinical colleagues at all levels, across departments and external agencies and stakeholders.
This is a full time position, working throughout weekday evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

The Southwark Crisis Cafe is brand new service providing a safe, welcoming and compassionate place for people who are experiencing mental health distress.
We are looking for a Team Leader to support the Service Manager to drive the service forward during this exciting period. We are looking for someone that shares the organisation’s values and the vision to help us achieve our ambitions.
The Team Leader will be responsible for managing the Wellbeing Workers. This is a key role for the service, leading on referral pathways, ensuring the service reaches a diverse range of people and delivers safe and high quality support at all times.
This is a full time position, working throughout weekday evenings and weekends on a rota basis. Experience of working in the mental health sector is desirable but full training will be provided through induction.
Rumbridge Court works with 11 service users with complex mental health needs and supports the individuals towards greater independence, by providing one to one support as well as group activities, following a tailored daily programme for each person.
The Senior Support Worker will have a variety of responsibilities, including direct support with all aspects of peoples’ daily living in order to promote recovery and independence, administering medication, risk assessment and management and recording and reporting. In addition, a Senior Support Worker will have line management and supervisory duties and must demonstrate an ability to prioritise and allocate tasks on shift, deputising for the service manager when required.
The service offers holistic support to the individuals living there and it will give you as staff member opportunities to work with and liaise with other agencies and professionals, lead on activities on offer at the service and externally, develop your skills in supporting people with vulnerabilities and expand your experience and understanding of mental health. You will need to have a great degree of flexibility, including weekend work, as the service operates 24 hrs (this includes sleep in duties) all year around.

It will provide an opportunity to develop coping techniques, and link people in with other services in their local community.
We are looking for a Peer Support & Volunteer Coordinator to develop a Peer Support Service within the Southwark Crisis Cafe. You will be responsible for the recruitment, line management and support of 10 Peer Supporters & Volunteers, who will use their own lived experience of mental distress to empathise with and support people using the service. Peer Supporters are volunteers with their own lived experience of mental distress. Peer Supporters actively use these shared lived experiences as part of the support that they offer.
You will promote service user leadership, ensuring that service users influence the development of the peer support to enrich people’s journey towards recovery and life fulfilment. Creating opportunities for service users to get more involved by volunteering at the service, or training to become Peer Supporters.
This is a 22.5-hour position, working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
We are looking for 5 Wellbeing Workers to drive the service forward during this exciting period. We are looking for people who share the organisation’s values and truly care about improving the lives of others so that people experiencing mental distress can go on to lead the lives that they choose.
The Wellbeing Workers are crucial roles for the service. Workers will welcome people into the service. Together with clients they will help to devise plans to keep people safe, work on
coping techniques, identify personal goals and will be able to connect people to resources in their local area.
There are a variety of full and part time roles available, working across evenings and weekends on a rota basis. Experience of working in the mental health sector is desirable but not essential as full induction and training will be provided. We would welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental distress.
The Berkshire West Breathing Space was launched in September 2021 and provides a safe, welcoming and compassionate space for people who are experiencing mental health distress.
Based in Reading City Centre the Breathing Space offers a variety of support options dependent on people’s needs: for some it will be a place of quiet respite, for others an opportunity to meet like-minded people and share lived experience. It will also provide an opportunity for people to develop their coping techniques, and link people in with other services in their local community.
Delivered by Together for Mental Wellbeing, one of the UK’s oldest and most respected charities, the service will be open between 5pm and 11pm Mondays to Fridays 7 days per week.
We are looking for a Wellbeing Worker to support in driving the service forward. We are looking for somebody who shares the organisation’s values and truly cares about improving the lives of others so that people experiencing mental distress can go on to lead the lives that they choose.
The Wellbeing Workers are crucial roles for the service. Workers will welcome people into the service, together with clients they will help to devise plans to keep people safe, work on coping techniques, identify personal goals and will be able to connect people to resources in their local area.

Together is working in partnership with Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Norfolk County Council, Change Grow Live and Norfolk Community Law Service to provide a mental health rehabilitation service for Adults with Serious Mental Illness across central Norfolk.
The aim of the partnership is to ensure people can have multi agency rehabilitation when they need it, promoting a positive approach to long term recovery and independent living.
This role will be fully embedded within a multi-disciplinary team based at Hellesdon Hospital, alongside colleagues in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Care, drug and alcohol and specialist advice.
