Our Together Wellbeing Pathway (TWP) service aims to provide support to people who are accepted on the London Offender Personality Disorder Pathway. We believe Peer Support has wide reaching benefits for both the Peer Support Volunteers and our service users as well as the wider community. We appreciate that talking to someone who knows what you mean and can relate to your experiences makes a big difference.
As a Peer Support Volunteer you will act as a role model using your own lived experience of mental distress and the criminal justice system to inspire hope and support others in their own journey of recovery. You will work with service users to help them develop a belief in their own abilities to deal with various situations; the confidence to have control over their own motivation, behaviour and social environment; and the ability to successfully achieve their goals in life.
You will support the individual throughout the pathway with a focus on life beyond service engagement, supporting meaningful activities and social inclusion.
